2011 Oscar

Welcome ladies and gentlemen,
This year's big event for movies, actors/actresses, and directors will be aired on ABC on February 27th at 8 P.M. ET. The Red Carpet will take place a wee bit earlier which will be aired at 6:30 P.M. ET on the same day. That will be Sunday so unless you're out taking over the world I don't see why you should miss this.
Now, the vital information....this year's nominations!!!

I am not going to list every nomination in every category because that is horrendously extensive. Rather, I'll list the most talk-about and expected nominations.

First off and of course, we have nominations for Best Picture:

1. Black Swan with Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis directed by Darren Aronofsky

2. The Fighter with Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale directed by David O. Russell

3. Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt directed by Christopher Nolan

4. The Kids Are All Right with Annette Benning, Julian Moore, and Mark Ruffalo directed by Lisa Cholodenko

5. The King's Speech with Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter, and Derek Jacobi directed by Tom Hooper

6. 127 Hours with James Franco directed by Danny Boyle

7. The Social Network with Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield directed by David Fincher

8. Toy Story 3 with Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack directed by Lee Unkrich

9. True Grit with Jeff Bridges, Hailee Steinfeld, and Matt Damon directed by Ethan Coen and Joel Coen

10. Winter's Bone with Jennifer Lawrence, Shelly Waggener, and Garret Dillahunt directed by Debra Granik

So far I have not seen all of the movies yet. I have seen some but not all so it's going to be hard for me to make any predictions. However, I have the feeling The Social Network will claim a lot prizes because it already did at the Golden Globe Awards so it could be a potential. The other potentials are Black Swan and The Kids Are All Right as I have seen a descend load of good critics for them.
Well, this is open interpretations and predictions. Please feel free to let me know what movie you think deserves the award or what movie that you would like to see win.

Latest News behind the Silver Screens

Whatsss uppp World!!!
Hollywood, CA is an amazing, flashy, and indeed expensive place. It is home to the legendary Universal Studios where blockbuster and humongous budget movies are shot.
This blog will keep you informed about everything, and I mean, literally, almost everything that is going on  in the world of Hollywood. Check it out!

Not to be confused with some pop-culture blogs or mags, this blog sometimes goes in depth about the plot of a particular movie, discusses openly about a dialogue/conversation in a scene, and even analyzes specific characters that are considered controversial or intricated.
There will be news about celebrities, the Academy Awards, renowned artists, artists that suck but still rise to fame and who knows why, pregnant actresses, marriages that shouldnt have taken place, cars, movie stars, actors and actresses, actors and actresses who dont know how to act but still stand in front of the camera looking pretty (or naked), and etc since we should not list too many things and should just substitute the unimportant things that should not be listed anyways with "etc."
